What to Bring |
|
Cruising the harbor on the Pilgrim Belle is a unique and exciting experience. So the objective here is to ensure that you are comfortable. We want you to have fun – not worry about things you forgot! It is often cooler on the
water than it is on land. Even on a hot day,
you might be surprised how cool it can get on the water. We always
recommend dressing in layers so you can simply take a layer off if you
are too warm. If you're too cold out on the deck, the Pilgrim Belle
has a spacious cabin where you can keep warm, but still enjoy the view
through large windows.Another important thing to know about being out on the water is the risk of sunburn. The ultraviolet rays from the sun (the part of the light spectrum that causes sunburns) actually reflect off the surface of the water directly at you. So although you may not be facing the sun directly, a portion of the sun's ultraviolet rays may still be reaching you. We recommend wearing sun block while on the water. A hat is also good protection against sunburn. Remember, even on overcast days you can be sunburned! Since you will be spending time on your feet, comfortable shoes are a must. Most people are more comfortable wearing rubber-soled shoes or sneakers The next most important thing is a camera. History abounds in Plymouth, on land and sea. So be sure to take some pictures to remember us by! We have extra film for you onboard should you need it. We also have a complete galley service and serve drinks, sandwiches, snacks and alcoholic beverages (to those 21 and over). NO alcohol may be brought onboard. Here's a checklist of things to bring:
